Import & Export Documentation

Our team will provide guidance and assistance with preparation of all import and export documentation relating to your shipment, including, but not limited to, the following:

Commercial Invoice & Packing List

The Commercial Invoice is the most commonly used document for effecting customs clearance, worldwide. This document typically contains details of the event to which the goods are destined, type of customs entry, commercial value, shipping date, the tariff classification, value of the goods and essential packing information. It is also the primary document used by Customs, worldwide, for commodity control and valuation.

Certificate of Origin

A Certificate of Origin is a signed statement as to the country of origin of the exported products for a particular shipment. The country of origin is NOT the country from where the product is shipped. The country of origin is the country where the product was manufactured or last underwent a substantial change or modification.

End User Certificates

An End-user certificate, or EUC, is a document used in the international movement of sensitive or restricted goods, to certify that the consignee is the final recipient of the materials, and is not planning on transferring the materials to another party. EUCs are required by many governments to prevent unauthroised transhipment such materials to embargoed states.

ATA Carnet

An ATA Carnet is a widely accepted, international customs document, authorising the temporary importation of goods, for a specified period, without the payment of local duties or customs guarantees.

Airwaybill

The Airway bill is the document issued by the airline or its appointed agent for the air transportation of goods. It is, effectively, a receipt from the airline, confirming that they have received the goods for transit. The AWB contains the relevant flight information and has a tracking number, which is used to check the status of delivery, and current position of the shipment.

Ocean Bill of Lading

An ocean bill of lading allows the shipper to move goods across international waters and serves as both the carrier's receipt to the shipper and as a collection document at destination. The document specifies the details of the goods being transported, the vessel details and destination.

Export Licences

An Export Licence may be required for certain restricted items, such as military or paramilitary goods, technology, artworks, plants and animals, medicines and chemicals. Licence requirements may depend on the potential use of the item and where you are exporting to.

Import Licences

Similar controls exist on the import of such items including firearms, plants and animals, foods, medicines, textiles and chemicals. Whether or not a licence is required can also depend on where the goods are coming from.
